I’m a creature of fur
But also of scale
Furred throughout my body
Yet scales from tip to tail

The velvety soft down
That counts as my pelt
Are in fact soft scales
That my wolven side does melt

Some find me odd
For matching legs I do lack
Two dragon on front
And two wolven on back

Yet the most odd I do have
Are what grow from my spine
Like two great black and bloody sails
My wings do unwind

And as for my eyes
Which wish to see all
Two silver crescent moons
Are forever at my call

The tip of my tail
Which is hidden by fur
Holds two black daggers
Both a poisonous spur

My color is black
Yet blood red are my stripes
And chosen by the goddess
Three moons guide my long nights

One on my head
Placed between my eyes
Crimson in its color
Within it my emotions hide

And it’s great brothers
Each their own bank
Rest on my left shoulder
As well as my right flank

My fur which was mentioned
Not so long ago
Is so soft and short
Its amazing that it does show

And my talons, fangs and teeth
Black in color, yet veined in with red
Do like to mimic the sharks
To place you in your...bed

And what of my height
I’m sure I can make you feel small
From talon to ear
I’m over thirteen feet tall

Yet I ask not of violence
Only of a moderate peace
Please do respect that
Or you shall be my next feast
